It would be perfect for business or family use or would be a luxurious drift car if you are so inclined - corners dead flat at any speed in total control. It should go to someone who appreciates superb handling and quality workmanship - they just dont make cars like this anymore - a superb vehicle. It should be noted that the amazing handling is a result of the high performance suspension upgrade performed by race track masters Quadrant Suspension of Berwick Victoria (check them out on the web). Other BMW's dont handle like this as they dont have well over $4000 worth of new world's best race car grade suspension - this is a special car. I have spent far too much - now yours to enjoy at bargain price. List below of what has been replaced with no expense spared in last 4+ years on this low mileage car: - Goodyear Eagle F1 Tyres 245/40/18 - New 18 inch alloy wheels - AirCon regassed in 2004 - first thing my mechanic did for me - Radiator replaced - Thermostat Housing and Thermostat replaced - Front end bushes replaced - think there is one more for Mmechanic to do - Brake Rotors replaced with Genuine DBA Rotors - Rear suspension mounts replaced -Quadrant Suspension - Front and rear springs replaced with top of the line lowered Eibach springs ordered in from Germany -Quadrant - Front and rear shock absorbers replaced with top of the line Bilstein Track grade shocks custom tuned for car -Quadrant - Rear CV joints in IRS replaced - preventative maintenance as were not worn out - New 7inch fold out Touchscreen DVD/TV/CD/Stereo just installed - still has plastic on it. - New windscreen just installed by professional windscreen installer - New gas struts installed for bonnet and boot - New top grade Century Battery (the best and biggest battery available) There is probably more to add to the list of work done above but I dont remember right now but will try to add later - Mechanic has it all written down and I have the receipts somewhere in the filing system of doom. As far as I know everything which could be done on this car at some point by the new owner is below: - Tiny paint touch ups - I have top quality colour matched paint that will come with car. - One rubber bush. - New Bendix Brake pads - New spare wheel as the one in the boot is one of the original wheels and they are not right for the car so would suggest get one the same as the others - Two new tyres - should pass RWC with tyres as they are but new rear tyres required soon so I would put two new ones on the front and put the front ones on the rear - Replace Fuel tank -My mechanic has been waiting to do this for about 4 months or more but hasnt been urgent - the tank seems to let a little vapour out if fill it right up to the top so I organised a new tank last year ready to install - Might as well replace fuel pump which is in the fuel tank while its out - Clean fuel injectors as if doing a new tank and pump and fuel filter installed might as well finish the job and clean the injectors so the entire fuel system is clean and job is done right then. - Install new rear speakers - I removed the old ones ready to replace as they were the originals and getting old - Collect piece of external trim from BM Spares to go on Drivers side - have already replaced passenger side so might as well make them both perfect - Couple of little bits of trim to glue inside the car or replace -parts are not expensive for this car. - AirCon regas is due again after 4 or 5 years which is normal. - Roadworthy Certificate RWC Full Service History of major work available from reputable mechanic going back to 2004 when I bought this as our family taxi for travelling country roads to school etc. I have changed the oil, fluids and filters myself at 10000kms max. This is a very easy car to maintain and is absolutely reliable and the safest and best built car I have ever owned. I am happy to arrange for my mechanic to provide RWC and if you like can arrange for my mechanic to continue to service and maintain the car for you - I would suggest this is a good idea as they now know the car well and are very reliable and honest. Tyres and wheel alignments done by Beaurepairs, suspension by Quadrant Suspension and mechanical work by reputable and ethical mechanic - all are contactable as required to verify quality of workmanship. I am extremely sorry to see this car go and would be willing to buy it back from the new owner if they ever want to sell it. Happy to put this in writing for new owner as a guaranteed buy back as I have spent an awful lot of money on just the shocks and springs and they are fully rebuildable so will outlast me I am sure. This car has been given the best of everything, maintained very well and driven gently on country roads with baby on board. It is not totally perfect and needs a few little things as described in this ad but I am happy to help you get these things done and I estimate total cost of bits and pieces to do is around $1000 - I just dont have the time to do anymore work and need to make more room here as soon as possible. Priced for quick sale - I think this was about $135 000 when new. You simply wont see another one of these with all this work done to this standard. Being short wheel base this handles much better than other bigger ,heavier, slower and less nimble 7 series bmw's and it has the awesome and efficient 3.0 litre engine which provides smooth endless power through the solid 4 speed automatic gearbox which has sport,economy and manual settings that actually change the way the car drives through computer settings - much better than what i have had in the past in commodores and falcons etc. This uses less fuel than holdens and fords I have owned in the past and is super efficient when cruising acheiving amazing efficiency that sadly puts our new aussie cars to shame. I have an excellent European Expert buyers guide for 7 series BMW's which I used when buying this car. I looked at more than 30 7 Series BMW's over period of more than 6 months before settling on this one because it was straight and mechanically sound and had all the features of a current model car but is better built and much less expensive to maintain and everyone is always amazed at how little fuel it uses.
